Notice of Public Hearing: Port Transportation Improvement Plan (PTIP)

Port of Portland Commission Meeting Concerning the Port of Portland’s Port Transportation Improvement Plan (PTIP)

An open public hearing will be held on the Port of Portland’s 2022 Port Transportation Improvement Plan (PTIP) during the regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 9:30 A.M.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission will meet virtually.  The meeting will be streamed live on the Port’s website and YouTube channel.

PURPOSE OF HEARING:  The hearing will provide interested persons, groups, and agencies an opportunity for public consideration of the road, rail, waterway, airport, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian improvement needs to meet the transportation requirements of the Port’s marine and aviation facilities and supporting properties.  The Port of Portland Commission will be asked to approve the proposed plan at the following month’s regular meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.  Incorporating any changes approved by the Commission, the final list of transportation needs will be submitted to the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) and the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and/or other appropriate programs for funding consideration.

CONDUCT OF HEARING:  At the hearing, the Commission will hear testimony from persons wishing to present their views on the PTIP.  If you wish to provide live testimony, please send an email with your first and last name to and you will be provided with a link to testify via MS Teams.  The deadline to sign up for live testimony is noon on the day prior to the Port of Portland Commission Meeting.  Written testimony may also be submitted via email at
