Citizens have the right to be fully informed about the activities of the Port of Portland, and the Port strives to be transparent with the help of its Media Relations staff. Although many of our operational areas are closed to the general public because of security, safety, and operational concerns, the Port makes allowances for the media to visit Port facilities and properties, when possible. Port Media Relations strives to accommodate media on Port-owned and controlled property, with the following exceptions:
