The Board of Commissioners of the Port of Portland, acting as the Port of Portland Budget Committee, will meet on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. during the regular Board meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission will meet virtually. The meeting will be streamed live on the Port’s website (www.portofportland.com/commission) and YouTube channel.
At this meeting, a supplemental budget will be presented that provides for the settlement of Lower Willamette insurance cost recovery claims and associated contingent fee payment as well as increased Customer Facility Charge (CFC) bond surveillance fees that were unforeseen at the time the budget was adopted in June 2020. These changes within the General Fund and Customer Facility Charge (CFC) Fund result in a $3,000,000 increase in the Port’s total budget to $3,007,570,936. This supplemental budget has no effect on the Port’s 2020-21 tax levy.
Public comment on the budget will be taken. Any person may ask questions about, and comment on, the Port’s Supplemental Budget at that time. Public comments and questions can be submitted via email at email@example.com.
The supplemental budget will be included in the April 14, 2021 Meeting Agenda, available on the Port’s website on April 12 at https://www.portofportland.com/Commission.
