Centering the Community
Our approach is driven by local engagement. We’re using what we learned from dozens of meetings with community partners, feedback from hundreds of residents, and community forums to implement a roadmap for investments and ways to use Port assets – driving inclusive economic development.
Creating Good Jobs
We seek partners who engage with their communities, support sustainability, work with small and local businesses, and offer good-paying jobs. Grainger, our newest partner at Gresham Vista Business Park, will eventually create over a hundred quality jobs. They’ll also mentor and contract with small businesses in the development and construction industries.

Welcome to the Ch’ak Ch’ak Trail! This newly opened 3-mile, car-free path near the Sandy and Columbia Rivers, offers a peaceful escape for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers alike.
Prioritizing Quality of Life
The Ch’ak Ch’ak Trail was key to developing Troutdale Reynolds Industrial Park. It’s also a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together to make big things happen – in this case, fulfilling a generational vision to connect communities and provide access to nature.
Partners with Purpose
We work with local organizations like Cultivate Initiatives, which serves houseless communities in East Portland. Their workforce development and community beautification teams help clean up our local properties and find shelter, human services, and training opportunities for people who need them.
